French capital continues to invest in Poland
In July 2024, the European Union (EU) agreed to the acquisition of Indykpol by Drosed, which in recent years is one of the most significant events on the Polish poultry market.

Drosed
Drosed is part of the French holding LDC Group and one of the leaders on the Polish poultry meat market, known mainly for the production of chicken.
LDC Group
LDC Group (Lambert Dodard Chancereul) is a French company that processes and sells poultry and develops finished products, both fresh and frozen. The company is one of the leaders in the European poultry market, with 102 plants, 23,400 employees and an annual turnover of EUR 5.8 billion.
Indykpol
Indykpol, based in Olsztyn, is one of the oldest and most recognizable brands in Poland in the turkey meat category. The company offers a wide range of products, including raw meat, cold cuts and ready meals, enjoying the trust of consumers thanks to the high quality of its products.
A French investment
The French company LDC Group plans to invest around EUR 200 million in the acquisition of Indykpol and the further development of Drosed. This investment includes both the cost of the purchase of Indykpol shares and funds allocated to the modernization of infrastructure, development of production technology and expansion of the product range.
LDC Group’s investment, supported by the consent of the European Union, is to initiate a new stage in the development of both Polish companies, bringing potential benefits both to consumers and to the entire Polish poultry market. The purpose of the expanded product range is to reach new consumer groups, new markets and strengthen their position on the international market.
Poland’s position in global poultry exports
Poland is one of the leading exporters of poultry in the world. In 2023, it took third place, behind Brazil and the United States. The value of Polish poultry exports amounted to nearly EUR 3.2 billion.
